The membership includes various organizational levels of specialists who deal with voice, video, wireless, and data services required to provide their respective hospitals with leading edge telecommunications services.

OHTA welcomes vendor members, who partner with hospital employees to develop solutions for various problems that exist within our respective institutions.

Unlike user groups, OHTA is not allied with any particular service platform or product; and in fact, OHTA members use many different products and services.

OHTA schedules quarterly meetings with continuing education opportunities along with some vendor interactions.  OHTA partners with the Michigan chapter (MATH) to host an annual three-day fall conference which alternates sites each year between the two states.

OHTA awards an annual scholarship to a deserving student working toward a career in the Communications or Telecommunications field.  The qualifications may change from year-to-year, however, this scholarship is an important contribution to learning.

OHTA also sponsors a wide range of certification classes and we are strongly allied with PAT.  To learn more about obtaining certification as a CTPH (Certified Telecommunications Professional in Healthcare), please click here for more information.

The dues structure is modest, and OHTA welcomes anyone dealing with Telecommunications service in an Ohio hospital to join in the transfer of knowledge and the sharing of experience.
